Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder..

When I have a boyfriend, I tend to neglect other aspects of my life like the gym, homework, and friends. I don't even realize I'm doing it, then Monday comes around, and I have spent all my whole week with him (not doing errands, gym, homework, etc). I have been feeling so behind every week before it even starts. So when Ry suggested we take some time for ourselves to catch up on stuff this week I was ALL FOR IT! Generally, when a guy tells me he wants time alone, I freak out and think our relationship is doomed. I am starting to think the relationships that spend the least amount of time together are the healthiest! I miss him like crazy, can't wait to see him, and also feel great about what I've accomplished so far this week! Last night, I went to yoga and I did a new move! I always feel so happy when I go out of the box and accomplish something new. Then I went home, had my favorite pasta, and curled up on the couch and watched the Hills. Basically a perfect night =) Space is Good, makes you enjoy the together time even more <3

I did that ALL the time in high school! The only time I hung out with my girl friends was when I was single.

You do need time apart to have your own life, it makes you like each other more.

I couldn't agree with u more!
I think that's how relationships change as we get older. We realize that you don't have to spend every waking moment with someone to love them.
I'm in a long distance relationship, so I have to believe that it's true! :D

I agree not losing yourself is really important and can creep up on you! My bf and I recently moved in together and it's a challenge now to try and take time out from one another. But, we're doing a great job of balancing work, friends, family and life. So far so good. I guess when you find the one everything just falls into place with little effort! :)

Misty,

Read 3 posts now. You are lucky to have such good friends. May God be kind to you to have such friends always. Enjoyed IM conversion. For any relationship to be healthy we need - Mutual Respect, Mutual Trust, Giving Space, Open & Logical Two Way Communication and Willingness to Adjust as well as Accept Partner as He or She is.

Take care
