Story Time...
2 Summers ago... Me and my best friend Claudia were sitting by the pool deciding where we should vacation next. We had just done Aruba, Vegas, & LA and felt it was time for our next adventure. We randomly decided on Ibiza, Spain which I knew VERY little about. We booked the hotel and flights that day and put up our My Space countdowns! I told my boyfriend at the time that we were going and he told me about a million story's about Ibiza. He had been a few times and raved about it. He told me that the sangria there was the best in the world, and that all day there was music playing from the greatest DJ's in the world.. The clubs were more elaborate than anything I could imagine.. and that they partied until noon the next day! The story's went on and on and on... not to mention everyone who we told about our upcoming trip had instant Vacation envy. I'm not gunna lie.. we felt pretty bad ass! Fast forward to vacation Day!!! We partied all night then staggered to the airport hungover and ready to sleep for our 11 hour flight to London. We landed in Heathrow.. took a train to Gatwick.. Flew to Barcelona.. then Ibiza (PHEW!) FINALLY.. we land in Ibiza and I cannot even put into words how excited we were. We went to get our luggage .. Claudia's first bag came.. then her second.. then her third.. and No Misty bags! (FML) I had to file a claim to get my bags back, and I was so angry. I couldn't help but resent the fact that all 3 of Claud's bags made it and none of mine.. ha ha. Begrudgingly, we went to hail a taxi and go settle into our hotel. As we went outside we found out that all the taxi's in Ibiza were on strike. There was ONE bus still running however, it only took us half way into town. We hopped on that bus hoping that we could figure something out. The bus dropped us off in the middle of no where.. in completely deserted streets. We rolled the luggage we had over cobble stone streets from 12-1am completely lost, and then as if one more slap from the big guy, it started raining. Now.. I had lost it! I found a police station and went in to beg for a ride and shelter. When the officer looked at me he said in his accent "Americans eh?" and laughed. Yah officer.. ha ha.. really funny.. Ive been walking in boots and a dress in the rain for an hour.. laugh it up! The officers drove us to the end of their jurisdiction line and said we had to walk 1 more mile to the hospital because that's the only place taxi's would pick up. Blah Blah Blah.. Finally make it to the hospital, get a cab, pay about 100 euros to get to our hotel and the place is locked! Claudia and I, had left over travel snacks for dinner (Frito's, bean dip, gushers, and Chips), and passed out on the hotels door way until the morning..
The rough arrival was followed by one of the most memorable, fun trips I had ever been on! My luggage arrived the next night, and we wasted no time hitting the streets. I honestly think my favorite part about Ibiza was the shopping, and LOONNGG lunches. We would go to lunch at some cute cafe, and within an hour we would have 10 new friends at our table... Lunches lasted a minimum of 4 hours, and was always concluded with a coffee spiked with booze! Claudia and I, accidently booked the trip off season (Doh).. so we didnt really get the full experiance of the party scene but If what we saw was only half of it.. I dont think I could handle on season.. Ok, ya i could :) A second trip to Ibiza is on the To Do List!

I was talking to my friend Brian about the the men in my life and he made the following summation of me..
"It's like the guys who go climb Everest. You can climb it but you can never tame it. It might kill you but you can't blame it. That's all it knows."
Never had myself so clearly defined before.....

Wild Cat for a day
I went to Tuscon yesterday for College Game Day! My roommate went to school there so I went to tailgate with her and get out of Scottsdale for the day. I was roaming around the different tailgates making friends when I recognized this girl!!! She was my best friend that I lost touch with when I was fourteen!! She is in the pic to the left! I am so happy I ran into her! She is gorgeous as ever and is now a teacher! Then, as it turns out her boyfriend was friends with my friend Eric that I drove out with. Phoenix/Tuscon is one of the smallest big city's in the world. Eric and I brought our own mini bar of vodka bottles, and spent most of the day trying to round up Cups, Ice and Mixers!! We eventually met up with my roomie and continued the drunken debauchery! I have spent this entire weekend outside of old town Scottsdale and LOVED IT! I took a pic with the mascot Wilma.. ha ha. I was made an honorary wild cat for the day. The original plan was to tailgate all day in Tuscon, then head home to go out. As I could have assumed, I tailgated all day.. then came home and passed out by 9:00.. ha ha. What is normally Sunday Funday at the bars is, me sitting on the couch trying to get motivated to do all my math homework (and since I am blogging, you can estimate my success). I have not done math since high school.. and It is just as confusing as I remembered. Two movies, and a blog post later.. Maybe it's time to crack down! :)

Good Morning World! Here is a pic from a photo shoot I did for my friend Brian.I am such a photo/attention whore.. my perfect day would be, getting all dressed up and having everyone taking my picture. Needless to say, I had a lot of fun! So last night, I had a hot dinner date with my roomie ;) We went out for dinner and drinks at Geisha. The plan was to meet up at 6:30 at our place, get ready quickly, then go out. We both started getting ready at 6:30, and were having one of those nights where we could not find ANYTHING to wear. We spent 3 hours trying to put together outfits. I literally tried on everything I, and She owns. We staggered out of the house, starving, around 10:00 - Still thoroughly unhappy with our outfit choices- and set out to dinner. The company and atmosphere was great - and when I say "atmosphere" I am referring to the 2 hot boys at the bar (lol). The food however, seemed like it had been sitting out for days, no bueno! I love nights of catching up with my girlfriends. I am more of a guys girl, and end up spending way more time with boys. First of all, I LOVE boys, and they are generally easier to be around. Boys are low maintenance, and do way more fun stuff like camping, skiing, traveling, etc... But the last two nights I have had dinner dates with my girls and was reminded of how much I love them and need girl time! Anyways,.. Liz and I leave dinner and as we are passing the bars deciding which one to hit up.. I hear my stomach growl. I was like.. "Eh.. Liz,.. kinda hungry still.. dinner sucked".. She's like.. "Oh thank god.. I want Jack in the Box sooo bad". Yes! We ended up going to Jack in the Box, After dinner... then went home and watched Connan O'Brian. We literally spent more time getting ready than we did going out.. Classic. 9 out of 10 times when Liz and I set out for "Dinner" in old town, we end up doing body shots on the bar at Junkie... 5 out of 10 times we end up at a raunchy strip club (Don't Ask). This was a NICE change of pace :)

Aruba
I am ready for my next vacation! The past few years have been filled with some crazy, scary, adventurous, romantic, exotic and weird vacations! Most have been spent with my partner in crime Claudia and sadly those are the romantic ones too! Claud and I went to Aruba a few summers ago and literally had candle lit dinners at sunset every night being serenaded by violins!
I will NEVER forget the first night we got there... We landed around 11pm, hopped into a cab and headed to our hotel. Immediately upon arrival, we jumped in the shower, threw on our little "Scottsdale Short" dresses and stilettos and set out to find a place to party. We ran across the street to where we were told the buses picked up, to take us down town... A 'bus like' car pulled up and like a couple nerds we ran to it.. Right before we could get in, some guy grabbed us, and said... "Oh Lady's, this is NOT a taxi, or a bus, this is a group of locals trying to take advantage of you". That nice man explained to us how to spot a real taxi and left us. So about 10 minutes later no real taxi or buses had driven by and we were overly anxious. A pick up truck pulls by, we hop in and head to Carlos and Charlies for some drinks. Needless to say, this pick up.. also not a taxi... By the graces of God we made it to Carlos and Charlies and met a few very weird locals.
We ordered yard sticks which were filled with the strongest drinks I've ever had. Claudia of course, demands extra shots in hers! About 2 yard sticks later, i am on stage dancing with the DJ.. pleading with him to play "walk it out" bu DJ Unk. The guys could barely speak English, so I am "walking it out" for him, hoping to break the language barrier. On the flip side, Claudia a.k.a ms. "I need extra shots, i can barely taste the alcohol" is having trouble standing in the corner. Apparently, we drank to much, and a security guard called us a cab :) This cab was a benzo.. not a pick up! We found out later that Natalie Halloway was last seen at Carlos and Charlies.. so I guess security was really cautious with American girls.
The next day, we woke up.. staggered down to the beach and recovered on the most beautiful island I've ever seen. The ocean was only as high as your ankles for hundreds of yards so you could just lay in the ocean to tan. The water was as warm as a bath, and the sand was pure white! As much fun as Claudia and I had.. we both agreed that we HAVE to take the boys we fall in love with there someday. After that first night, we didn't do much drinking. Our mornings and afternoons were spent at the beach laying out and reading the shoppoholic books. We were ballers on a budget so we ate top ramen for breakfast and lunch then every night we splurged on an amazing dinner. The restaurants there set out tables on the sand with white linens, and live music. We made sunset dinner reservations every night. The musicians loved me, and insisted on playing songs all night with "Misty" in it... I ate it up of course :)
For our big excursion, we planned a day of sailing. As we waited on the docks for our boat, we became friends with a guy named "Manny", to our luck - turns out he was our ships bartender! We sailed all day, we snorkeled to a sunken German ship "Atilla", and drank, and drank, and drank... The ship was called Mi Dushi which meant My sweetheart. The day on Mi Dushi was one of the best days of my life! When we finally got back to shore, Claudia and I stumbled off the boat and both face planted into the sand. We Slept/Blacked out for an hour or so, then woke up after nigh fall. When we woke up, still slightly drunk and happy, we realized that we had missed the last bus back to our side of the island. We began our 5 mile journey back home in our flip flops, laughing the entire way.
This was me and Claudias first vacation together and definatly not our last!

Fridayitis
Weird Day..
It is Friday and I am dying to leave the office! I have a standard night of Scottsdale bar crawling and fist pumping ahead of me with my BF Ryan. The past two weeks have been so stressful at work! I have spent the last two weekends working on a business proposal that I presented to my VP yesterday. I was so nervous to give it to her because I put so much work into it, and I wanted it to be perfect! Thankfully, she absolutely LOVED it. She was thoroughly impressed, and is going to implement many of the changes that i suggested. Besides the gratification I got intellectually, and professionally, I got a RAISE! Although all the pieces of my life seem to be falling into place right now there is still one gaping hole.... The love life. My last Boy Friend, Rob and I broke up about 6 months ago and I thought that I would be all about the single party life but I am definitely NOT. I miss sharing life with someone, and the closeness of letting down your guards and feeling safe. I do not ever want to get back with my ex but this is the first time that I have been single and have not wanted to go crazy. I think that this last relationship was the first time i was really, uninhibited, UN guarded, vulnerable, and 100% myself with a guy. I hope that I can find someone again that i trust with my heart.. so far...in Scottsdale... i do not see it happening. I am blessed with some of the best friends a girl could ask for and without them i would have felt the hurt so much more. Dating was always like a sport to me, and I have always been extremely good at it. I have met a lot of guys lately, and all of them are missing something (everything). Dating has become a chore! I can accept that the boys I am dating now are just helping me pass the time but for heaven sakes...Mr. Right now is even falling short of his LOW expectations. Perhaps I have been spoiled and my standards are unrealistic but... I am not the "settling" kind of girl!
Mr. Right.... I am ready... Hurry!!!!!
