Mirror Mirror on the Wall...
I have one particular trait that is found- depending on who you ask, aggravating, egotistical, and/or hilarious.
I always find myself staring at... well.. myself. I think a majority of the population looks at themselves predominantly in a mirror. I assume the thing that takes this "habit" of mine to the next level is that a mirror is just ONE very small tool used for gazing into my own eyes. Dirty car windows, shiny buildings, someone Else's glasses, margarita glasses, reflection in a picture frame, black computer screen.. ooh the possibilities are truly endless. No matter where I am .. I will find myself.
In Junior High, there was a particular moment that I will never ever live down. I have always been "too social", on almost every report card I was marked down for "excessive talking". I  came out of the womb talking to anyone who would listen.. Or anyone who wasn't listening but didn't seem too annoyed. I am not sure if it was the same for anyone else but at my Jr. high you got your seat moved for talking. Originally I was sitting by my friend - bad idea - I got moved. Then I made friends with my new neighbor - I got moved. I was put in the back my someone I had nothing on common with - I made friends - I got moved.  By now, my teacher had called my parents and told them that If I had to be moved one more time, It would result in detention. Now I am sitting in the far back corner, next to a wall and next to really no one. Did I talk to anyone? No.. Did I get moved? Yes.
Teacher: "Hello Shelly (my mom).. Unfortunately Misty had to have her seat moved again.
Mom: "What?! Why?? Was she still talking to her neighbor? We had a long talk with her about this?
Teacher: "No, She was staring at herself through out the entire class in the shiny metal pencil sharpener, and I had to move her away from it."
Mom: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA"
Yeah.. Some things never change!
Happy Turkey Day Everyone

Yet Another Embarrassing Moment....
At work, one of the things I do is, I manage the service providers that we have hired. Well, today all my superiors were out of the office and I had to have a conference with this one vendor by myself. Normally this would be no big deal but today I had to lay down the law about a few things. I did a really good job. I conducted myself sternly, professional, and not over stepping my boundaries. Well, I get off the call feeling kinda bitchin.. Then, my team comes in and starts talking about ideas for Halloween. We decided that we would do a Tim Burton theme. Immediately after they left my office, I jumped onto the Internet and started google imaging costumes. I sent out an email to my coworkers with team member names next to the funny costumes ideas. Unfortunately for me, I accidental sent it to the VP of that servicer I just got off the phone with rather than my co-worker with a similar name.
Can I get an Eff Em El please?!?!

Misty's Most
Embarrassing Moments
Let's face it, I am the kind of girl who has always tripped and fallen in front of the boy she likes! My life is filled with moments that should be "put in a box and dropped in the ocean" as my BF says but something so funny just happened at my office that it prompted me to share one...

1.) At 20, I was lead Analyst on one of my company's largest accounts, the Bear Stearn's account. I was asked to fly to the company's location and give a sales presentation. Mind you... the audience was Sr. Executive level old men, and old ugly women who have fought tooth and nail to be taken seriously and get to where they are in that company. Here I am a little cute blonde talking software, trying to engage them in a pricey contract. So, being the problem solver that I am.. I put on a suit, wrap my hair in a bun, and finish off my look with non-prescription glasses... All to be taken as serious as possible. I hook my computer up to the projector that covers the entire wall behind me and begin with my pitch. Everything is running smoothly, the audience is engaged and I am kicking butt! I go to demonstrate how to upload a document to the system, and when I selected "browse" it pulled up the last folder which I Browsed to. Yes, up comes a wall full of pictures of me and my 3 girl friends at the Rehab pool party in Vegas drunk out of our minds!! Me, in a gold sequined bikini, and gold stilettos, looking like I could barely say my own name.  ***Gulp** Face turned the color of a tomato as the other sales guys in the room tried to direct the attention away from the presentation as I frantically tried to remove the images from the screen. I could have died!!! The rest of my career with that company was fruitful but in every new hire orientation, I became the example of client etiquette....... FML!

My life in one giant embarrassing moment wrapped up in a pretty package! More to Come =)
