Halloween at Work

Today my office is all dressed up in 80's gear. To truly get in the spirit I have been blasting 80's music in my office too. It is taking EVERYTHING I have in me to not sing along to Madonna's "Open Your Heart" that's on right now. Dressing up on the Friday before Halloween at the office is all fun and games until you have to.. go to lunch or Starbucks. Can you imagine being in line for your morning coffee with flash dance standing behind you? Awkward.....

I can't wait until my 1:00 meeting with the VP.. I'm sure I will be taken REAL serious in leg warmers ;) ....

Hoes of Halloween's Past

The glorious and awful thing about Halloween is, woman can dress as scandalous as they want for one night a year and not be judged. The past three years, Halloween has been a day that could not come fast enough. Last year I starved myself for a month prior to Halloween. I have never been much of a dieter/self-control type. For some reason last year, I was determined to bring my A game.. and it was painful. Finally Halloween night came .. and all I could think about was eating a cheeseburger. I didn't even have that much fun. The best part was right after the clubs closed.. me and my girlfriends went to Jack in the Box. I bought pretty much one of everything and ate until I passed out.

And this year... I am dressing up as VS angel. I have been trying to eat healthy rather than resort to starvation. I just started "eating healthy" this morning though... Ha Ha....What is everyone dressing up as this year??

Boats and Hoes & Pumpkin Patch FAIL

Ryan was a very lucky man and got to take a bunch of hotties out on the boat Saturday... Meet the hotties... :) My sisters Taneur, Emily, Me and my Momma!!

On the way home from the lake, we saw a pumpkin patch and decided that we HAD to spend the day there Sunday. So.. Sunday morning, we went to breakfast then headed on the LONG journey to the far away pumpkin patch (~20 miles). As we got in the turning lane to drive into the patch, I could see Ryan's stress level rise realizing he had to drive his black newly washed car down a dirt road. We VERRRYYY slowly drive into the lot and parked. Once we got out of the car.. we see a line to get in. A line?! Really? So we put on our smiles -as to not admit that this was a bad idea- and hop into the line. As we stand in the hot sun surrounded by what seemed to be a thousand parent less children, we began to wonder what we were gunna do in this pumpkin patch. As we progressed in this line we spotted a sign..

$7.00 Admission.. free hay ride and pony ride with entry. Well A.) I am not riding on hay if you paid me and B.) Dont they sell pumpkins at the grocery store?! So still about 15 people away from the entry point we decided to ditch this idea and go buy our pumpkins elsewhere.

On the way out we took a photo so we could pretend it was a successful trip. It was always about the photo ops anyways....

I have always heard of it happening... In every big company I have worked for, there have been rumors of food thieves. But, I have always had trouble believing it. I cannot imagine the type of person who would take someone else's lunch out of the fridge and eat it!! What kind of person would they have to be? And I have always wondered how nervous they would be heating it up, wondering if the true owner of their stolen meal would come in looking for it. Well today I have become victim of this asinine crime. I was so excited all morning to eat my lunch. I have a million things to do today, and no time to go out to lunch. I went into the break room a few minutes ago to retrieve my delicious lunch and it was GONE! What the heck people!? Now as I sit here at my desk.. furious.. I can't look at anyone the same. Thoughts keep coming into my mind about things people have said about my lunch in the past, and how I always bring the best stuff. Was it that person? Did they enjoy it? Did they throw it out half eaten? I want to write a nasty note and leave it in the fridge. "Dear Thief of Misty's Pasta... You should be ashamed of yourself. You are lazy, and have no conscious! Hope you enjoy the rat poisoning I laced in that meal punk!"

Spoiled Rotten

So my 25th birthday was on Tuesday and I am getting so spoiled. I am going to share my day with you via photos! I woke up to breakfast in bed and came to the living room to find this set up by my amazing roomie <3

Then I came to work and my employees had decorated my office! They are all guys so it was too cute that they went all out and did girly decorations for me :)

 Then when I got home..  I found these presents on my bed from Ry!

Ryan and Stacey came over to my parents house for dinner with me, and it was so amazing! We had A LOT of vino and laughed all night. I have the most amazing friends and family.

A trip to the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC for 7 nights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I know... I am spoiled rotten. Friday night is when I am celebrating with all my friends. I already feel like I have had the best birthday in the world, and the big bday night hasn't even happened yet! I admit that turning 25 was scary for me but if anything, it has reminded me of how lucky I am. Each year I have become stronger, and built tighter relationships. I wouldn't trade where I am today for anything.

This weekend was NiteFlite. It is a charity even put on by the 20-30 club. I felt pretty compassionate and giving spending my Saturday night at a charity event. Never mind that the tickets were free.. but I was drinking for the children.... Here are some pictures of the madness....

We Miss Ry Guy!!

Ryan is back home in Minneapolis until Sunday. I offered to stay at his house to watch Titus, partially for selfish reasons. You see.. when Ryan is around I am and always will be a far second. That's totally fine but when Ryan's gone... I am the end all to Titus. I eat it up.  He follows me around the house everywhere I go. He barks at every little noise so I feel safe, and he cuddles up to me every chance he gets. So, last night I was pretty excited to see Ty when I got off work. I walked up the walkway expecting to see his tail wagging and him running around excited,.... nothing. I go inside and he is laying on the bed looking so sad! I sat next to him petting him and he GOT UP and walked away. *Excuse my single tear.  Yes.. Normally this would be his dream come true!

Titus just sat on the stairs looking out the window. He looked so incredibly sad.. he misses Ryan so much! This morning I  dropped him off at his Uncle Bobby's so they could play while I was at work. I don't know why but staying at Ryan's house while he isn't there amplifies how much I miss him by a million. Maybe it's the same for Ty.. we're having a slumber party at my house tonight! I expect to regain my rightful place as numero uno for the rest of the weekend!  HA HA :)
